"Surprisingly Smooth and Easy"
I was happy with how everything went. The lines moved along a lot faster than I expected, so I never really felt like I was just standing around forever waiting. It also wasn’t overly packed or uncomfortable, which made the whole experience feel a lot more relaxed and manageable. Overall, it was a smooth visit.

"NYSCI itself was fine, but am…"
NYSCI itself was fine, but am I the only one who thought the location was kind of a hassle? Even taking the train, there was still a decent amount of walking, and the signs around the park weren’t super helpful. Parking also seemed stressful once it got busy. It’s not the easiest place to visit if you’re not already familiar with the area.

"Fun exhibits, but a few were out of order"
Overall, we had a good time. The exhibits were fun and there was enough to keep us interested, but yeah, a few of them were broken or not working right. Not a huge deal, but it did kind of take away from the experience a bit. Still worth checking out, just don’t expect every single thing to be up and running.

"School trip went well overall"
The kids had a good time, which was the main thing. Check-in was a little messy, well, not a disaster, but definitely slower than we expected. Once we got past that, the visit was fine.

I was surprised by how much my kids learned because they were having so much fun the whole time. Since it kept them interested, they actually paid attention and picked up more than I expected...

"Felt like a sweaty little oven in there"
We went to NYSCI on a warm day hoping to hang out and cool off a bit, but nope, some parts inside were stuffy as hell. A few rooms were totally fine, but others felt hot, crowded, and kind of miserable. It’s hard to enjoy the exhibits when you’re just standing there feeling like a sweaty idiot looking for air.

"Got in way faster than I expected"
Getting in was a lot quicker and smoother than I thought it would be. We had our tickets ready, they scanned without any issues, and there wasn’t one of those confusing lines where you’re standing around wondering if you’re even in the right place. The staff were friendly enough and pointed us in the direction we needed to go, which made the whole start of the visit feel really easy and stress-free.

"Fun family day, just a bit crowded"
Took my two kids to NYSCI they had such a good time. There were tons of hands-on exhibits, so they actually stayed interested and didn’t start with the “I’m bored” stuff, which... huge win. It felt really family friendly too, with plenty of room to move around and lots for younger kids to try. The staff were nice when we had questions, which always helps. I’m giving it 4 stars only because it did get crowded, and a few exhibits had a bit of a wait. But overall, we had a fun day and would definitely go back again...

"Kids had fun, but I felt stuck the whole time"
We had my kid’s birthday party here, and it felt unorganized. The staff was nice, but we spent so much time just waiting around, and the party room setup felt really rushed. I kind of felt trapped because once the party started, there wasn’t much we could do but go along with it and hope everything worked out. The kids still had fun, which I’m grateful for, but for the price, I expected things to run a lot more smoothly

"Helpful Access, But Not Perfect"
The wheelchair access was definitely helpful, but I wasn’t totally convinced everything was as well thought out as it should be. The signs could’ve been a lot clearer, and I had to second-guess where to go a few times.

"Worth it if you go more than once"
We got the New York Hall of Science membership it’s been worth it for us. If you’ve got kids and live nearby, even just going a couple times makes the price feel reasonable. Some weekends are crowded and a few exhibits weren’t working, which was annoying, so I was kind of thinking maybe it wasn’t the best deal, actually, no, my kids still always manage to find plenty to do. It’s not perfect, but we’ll probably renew.

"I checked the site before heading over, and..."
I checked the site before heading over, and to be fair, the hours were actually correct. So that part was fine. But the holiday updates could seriously be clearer. Like, it shouldn’t feel like I’m doing detective work just to figure out if a place is open or not. Overall, the info matched, but please make the holiday hours easier to find.

"Heads Up: They Helped Us Immediately"
Just a quick warning for anyone looking around: don’t waste too much time stressing like we did. We reached out, and they helped us right away. It was a relief to get such a fast response when we needed it.

"Gift shop was honestly a fun surprise"
I went to New York Hall of Science and didn’t really expect much from the gift shop, but it ended up being one of those places I kept wandering around in. They had science toys, books, little experiment kits, random quirky kid stuff, and thankfully it wasn’t just the usual souvenir clutter you see everywhere.
I grabbed a few small gifts because they were easy to throw in my bag, and my nephew was weirdly obsessed with them later, so that worked out. Prices seemed reasonable too, at least for a museum shop. Anyway, after the exhibits it’s a nice little stop, and I’d probably check it again next time.

"Clean Enough, Just Needs a Quick Check"
I visited New York Hall of Science with my sister and we used the restrooms while we were there. Overall, they were mostly clean, and the sinks worked fine. One stall was out of toilet paper, which was a little annoying, but it didn’t smell bad or feel gross. It just seemed like they could use a quicker check-in throughout the day.

"We Popped In and Somehow Stayed for Hours"
I took my kids to New York Hall of Science thinking we’d just check it out for a bit, but wow, we ended up staying almost 4 hours. There was so much hands-on stuff that they just kept bouncing from one thing to the next, i was surprised they didn’t get bored at all. That almost never happens. The staff were friendly when we had questions, and it was easy to find what we needed on the website before we went. Definitely one of those visits where we stayed way longer than planned.

"Took my two kids to NYSCI and they…"
Took my two kids to NYSCI and they seriously did not want to leave. I was already feeling mentally drained that day, so I was grateful there was so much for them to do without me having to constantly entertain them. They got to touch things, build, spin stuff, test things out, and just mess around, which is so much better than a place where they can only look at exhibits. The science playground and all the interactive exhibits were definitely the favorites. A few spots got a little crowded, but it never felt too overwhelming to get around. I also really liked that they were learning without it feeling like school. Overall, it was a simple, fun day out and totally worth it.

"Worth It in the End"
I was a little impatient about the whole thing at first, especially waiting around and wondering if the tickets were actually going to be worth the price. But once everything got going, I felt like they were worth it overall.

"Easy Weekend Planning"
I booked our tickets on nysci.org for a weekend visit, it was a easy experience. The site loaded without any issues, the time slots were clear, and checkout was quick. I got the confirmation email right away, which always makes me feel better when I’m planning something with kids in tow. It wasn’t flashy or anything, but it did exactly what it needed to do. Sometimes that kind of simple, smooth process makes the whole day feel more manageable before you even get there.

"Decent snacks, slow coffee line"
The snacks were good overall, but the coffee line took a little longer than I expected. Not a big deal, just kinda slow.
